I was standing or walking and there was a person trying to walk/run up to me and touch me. They had a smile and it seemed playful there I didn’t know this person. I either had something in my hand and was poking them away or I was using my hand to push them away. They would back up go from a different angle and try to run up to me again. This happened for awhile. At the end, he was on my left in the dream. He disappeared and appeared on my right side. I turned my head right but I actually woke up and turned my head right. And that figure was there crawling/floating over my fiancé on the bed. I put my hand out to push it away and it disappeared
Dreams often tap into our subconscious and provide insight into our thoughts, feelings, and life experiences. Let's explore the elements of your dream and what they might symbolize:
-
Stranger with a Playful Attitude:
- The smiling stranger attempting to touch you can symbolize aspects of the unknown or unfamiliar that are currently entering your life. This could be a new opportunity, relationship, or challenge. The playful nature suggests that it may not be threatening but rather something that seeks your attention or engagement.
-
Defensiveness:
- Your action of pushing the person away indicates a boundary you're maintaining or a reluctance to engage with whatever change or novel experience the stranger represents. This behavior signals your hesitation or resistance toward facing new situations or people in your waking life.
-
Changing Angles:
- The person approaching from different angles suggests that the issue or opportunity you are facing is persistent. It can take various forms or approaches, indicating something that won't go away unless addressed. It may also reflect an internal or external pressure to acknowledge or confront a situation.
-
Switching Sides:
- The figure shifting from your left to your right side in the dream represents a change in perspective or attitude. Typically, the left side symbolizes logic and the analytical mind, while the right side is more about creativity and intuition. This transition may highlight a shift in how you are perceiving or responding to something in your life.
-
Intersection with Waking Reality:
- Your reaction of turning your head and the continuity of the dream into your waking state reflects a strong connection between your subconscious mind and current consciousness. The dream carrying over to reality signifies that the matter at hand is significant and perhaps unresolved, needing immediate attention.
-
Disappearance:
- The figure disappearing when you try to push it away in your waking life symbolizes the resolution or dismissal of immediate anxiety or uncertainty. It may suggest that once confronted consciously, some challenges or fears may diminish on their own.
Overall, this dream may be trying to convey a message about embracing or at least confronting unfamiliar aspects in your life. It highlights the importance of understanding whether your resistance is rooted in rational concern or unfounded fear, and encourages examining what it is you might be avoiding. You might benefit from reflecting on any new situations, decisions, or people you are encountering and consider how you truly feel about them, aiming for a balance between defense and openness.
